Agriculture - Cattle breeding

Besides growing maize for silage, intensive and extensive grazing management has also an important role in Nagyberek. We keep an area of 400 ha intensive, from where we gather grass three times a year, which means good quality fodder for the livestock raising sectors. The rest of the grassland is used for grazing beef cattle that is held in extensive circumstances.

Our beef cattle program started at the beginning of the 70s with the American breed "Hereford". We cross them now with Red Angus breed that results in end-product, which better satisfies all requirements.
